4 Female Korean Artists You Need to Know

Watch out PSY, 2NE1 and Wonder Girls – these self-producing Korean women prove that more than bubbly K-Pop comes from Seoul. Understanding Korean is not required to enjoy these chill, electronic songs.

1. Yeseo self-produces, composes, mixes, masters and provides the vocals for all of her songs. Only a few original songs are available on her Soundcloud, but she is constantly releasing covers of popular international songs, including Sia’s “Chandelier” and most recently Gallant’s “Weight In Gold.”

2. Also a self-producing vocalist, CIFIKA mixes natural sounds (like birds chirping and water flowing), chill beats and English and Korean phrases to create dreamy jams. Listen through all of her songs released over the past seven months on her Soundcloud.
